I now have three choices: XP installs itself in partition 2, but it thinks it is 1, and builds the boot. These virtual interupts are to prevent as many devices having to share. When do you get the “CPU not supported” message? I just need to recreate the WDS image and test deployment. At most, 2 of the 4 will work on a specific motherboard.

HAL: “ACPI Uniprocessor PC” vs. “Advanced Configuration and Power Interface PC”?
We’ve been deploying workstations with RIS for some time now. We’ve recently switched to WDS. Google just gave me a bunch of nothing.
Wed Apr 25, 7: Aug 2, Posts: We have two options: I just want to make sure it is a decent chip; I don’t want my supplier getting one over on me. The Celeron family has 2 basic models. I sooo don’t have time for this Uniproceseor not seen that. Different motherboards and chip-sets support different Intel CPUs. Deleting existing partitions on the disk in the WDS PXE setup, and creating just one partition, still does not get rid of the hidden partition 1.
Would you put one of these chips in a box that you would make? Reply – Quote – Report Abuse. I’ve been Unipricessor with no success. I have been battleing with this for 2 days now!
It makes APIC which is something completely different. I have a question about the uniprocessor though. It must be a more stringent checking of HAL compatibility. I am running uniprcessor dual core processor so should it still say uniprocessor or should it be multi?
There is a third option though.
ACPI Uniprocessor PC
Dell has a hidden partition on D that can’t be seen on the Windows setup screen. The differences between them, uniproceesor the reasons for needing both, are self-explanatory. I have a non-proprietary system, in other words I built it myself!
Oh and to force in a HAL, which you may have seen: Reset Post Submit Post.
